Description: Interesting Grand Prix Formula One-related LP from the late 1960s – The Exciting Racing Sounds Of Grand Prix (1967). Features the voices of Phil Hill, World Champion, 1961, film director and racing enthusiast John Frankenheimer, plus Graham Hill. This is a wonderful piece of memorabilia from the heyday of motor racing for the avid Formula One fan. See also my listing for the original soundtrack to 'Grand Prix' by Maurice Jarre. This album has not yet been released on CD. The Exciting Racing Sounds Of Grand Prix (1967) Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): VINYL: VG. Very clean on visual inspection. A few marks, scuffs and hairlines on each side (more on side 2). Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great throughout. Run-in to side 2 is crackly with static; side 1 is clearer. Some hiss audible throughout due to quality of original sound recording. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A very enjoyable listen. OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: G+. Colours clear and unfaded on laminated front. Minor disc ring and some curved creases across front and in from sides. Delamination curve at top centre. Edges and spine in great shape. Corners lightly scuffed. Aperture has some wear and nicks/peeling but nothing major. Back cover yellowed with staining along aperture and spine edges; a few splurges elsewhere. Flipbacks present and attached. A good example. INNER SLEEVE: VG. Original MfP EMI yellowed white paper sleeve with rounded corners. A few folds and creasing but clean and intact. Small split on spine. A decent example. ITEM CONDITION - items are graded according to Record Collector definitions - see below: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
