GREAT NANCY ANN STORYBOOK DOLL A JANUARY MERRY MAID #187 BEAUTIFUL 1940s VINTAGE

Description: This beautiful Nancy Ann Storybook Doll, A January Merry Maid for New Year #187, is from the Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls of the Month Series. Made by the Nancy Ann Storybook Doll Company, U.S.A., back stamp reads STORY BOOK DOLL USA. Molded bisque doll with the more mature figure of defined waistline and bust, she stands 6.25" tall. She has socket head, rosy cheeks, gorgeous full dark brown hair, and jointed legs. She wears a red taffeta dress with inserted front panel of multi-stripe satin. The sleeves are trimmed with lace and the dress is fastened with the traditional small gold safety pin. Under the dress is a long white cotton net petticoat. January is wearing long white cotton lace-trimmed pantalets and black slipper shoes. Her matching red taffeta hat is trimmed with flowing ribbons in various colors. All in excellent condition with the exception of the black ribbons that are a bit frayed.
