Description: Guernsey Evening Press newspaper, June 2, 1943; 4 pages total, size 12” x 19 ½” in good but used condition with a fold across the center, signs of yellowing and edge wear. This is a fascinating relic of World War II, when Germany occupied a small part of England and published this newspaper with propaganda against the Allies; the ads are revealing as people place ads to buy used clothing and fresh vegetables. There's a picture on the front page of German troops "helping" Russians in the Ukraine with Spring tilling. There's lots of criticism against the U.S. and the United Kingdom. I bought this many decades ago from an antique newspaper purveyor. I have enjoyed it for years, whenever I want to step back in time and try to understand history as it unfolded. When you buy this, I'll ship it in a poster tube, to protect everything. Thanks for taking a moment to read my listing! I have a lot more curious publications and artifacts in my eBay store. Check it out if you want to be tempted by things you probably shouldn't buy. Have a great day. Stay safe. Stay happy!
