Description: Sleek, contoured lines shape the asymmetric Poplar body, while a satin-finished C-shaped neck provides smooth playing and tactile familiarity. Evenly balanced and shaped to fit comfortably at any strap height. Featuring a neck-to-body joint at the 17th fret. One of Guild’s few electric models to feature a 25.5” scale length, the longer string length pairs nicely with three pickups that offer everything from chiming, spanky lead tones to thick, compressed rhythm. Classic, vintage humbucking bridge tones ooze out of the Guild LB-1 bridge pickup and bring a usable array of tones from sparkly clean single coil-esque spank to thick humbucker sounds that fatten and sing when driven. Blending perfectly with the biting single-coil tones of the two new Dearmond Aerosonic middle and neck pickups. Guild Surfliner HSS Click images to enlarge Description About this guitar: This guitar came directly from Guild to my supplier, it has never been sold retail, the protective cover is still on the pickguard. It was tested by factory authorized technicians and no issues were found, all electronics work as designed, the neck is straight and playability is excellent. When we polished the guitar we noticed two very light cloudy areas in the finish. They are so light we had a hard time seeing them, you can only see them if you are holding the guitar with the light at an angle. I have included a picture pointing to the areas but they are way too light to show in a picture, no one will ever see them when you are playing. I have been playing Guild guitars since the mid 1970's and still own some that I bought back then. When you buy a Guild they are in your collection for years, because the quality is there. Here is what Guild says about the Surfliner HSS: vintage-inspired electric guitar with offset appeal Influenced by the iconic heritage and eccentric shapes of vintage Guilds, the all-new Guild Surfliner compliments the brand lineage by combining classic styling with modern features in an offset, solid-body electric. The Surfliner features a fast-playing satin-finished neck and a gloss body available in Catalina Blue, Sunset Orange, and white Sage Finishes solid poplar body with comfortable c shaped 25.5” scale maple neck Sleek, contoured lines shape the asymmetric Poplar body, while a satin-finished C-shaped neck provides smooth playing and tactile familiarity. The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair. Who refurbishes your instruments? All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier. Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty? No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty. Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it? All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box. However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and getting bumped around during shipping. What identifies an instrument as being refurbished? Most refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock. This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher. Payment I require payment within 1 day. I prefer PayPal. If you have no feedback rating, contact me first before bidding, this is necessary because many times folks with no feedback buy and then do not pay. Contact me directly for an expedited shipping quote. Quoted shipping is for the lower US only, for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and international email me for rates.
