I can mix and match pieces for the range and throw them in a pelican case or converted toolbox. So long as they aren't crushed together in a soft bag, the nylon offers plenty protection within a hard case, safe or vault. My blued, parkerized, cerocote, and duracoat finishes are no worse for wear after storage and repeated range trips.
