Description: Hand Carved Stone [Rhodonite??] Face - Artist Signed 1997. It measures approximately 12 1/2" h x 9" w x 3 1/2" d. It is a very heavy piece, weighs approximately 16 lbs. It is signed by Fred Gearhart 1997 on the back of face. It has a hole on the back and is able to be hung on a wall. I believe Fred Gearhart is a Cleveland, Ohio native who creates mostly stone sculptures. 'He opens up his backyard once a year to browse, hang out, talk about art and purchase some of his approximately 200 works.' I'm guessing the stone is rhodonite but not 100%. I have tried using Rock Identifier app and get a different response each time. If someone has a better knowledge of rocks, please educate me on this piece. Thank you!!
