Description: For sale is one black wooden spear, with an elephant carved at the end of the shaft. This appears to be hand-carved and could likely be from Africa. The spear is about 31.75" in length and appears to be hand carved. Because of it's length, weight and the textured hand-hold area near the center, I've always guessed this spear was designed to throw. But, of course, I may be wrong, and it could be purely decorative. The spear has a bow along it's length which is the way I received it. I have no idea of it's age, though it was given me in the latter half of the 1970s. Please check out the photos for more information. I guess you might consider it used, as I had it sitting atop a bookcase as a decoration for many years, before it finding it's way onto a top closet shelf for many more. I certainly never threw it.
