The allover repeating intricate tribal paisley (known as boteh, the ancient precursor to paisley) design appears pink from afar but is actually hand-knotted in coral and turquoise with a touch of mint green and pale yellow, colors that appear when you look closer, much like a pointilist painting. Against the lush violet blue backdrop, the charming paisleys seem to dance in the light. The border is another intriguing and decorative element of this beautiful runner, a bone colored frame that lightens and brightens the runner, with a delicate and intricate repeating geometric design that resembles hieroglyphics and uses all of the wonderful accent colors of the rug. It is framed by pale yellow rows with a charming wave-like garland of mint green. All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.
