Description: Just obtained another of these wonderful pieces! I have four Voumard watches in my personal collection, and have sold several of these gorgeous classics over the past year. Voumard was a small Swiss watchmaker that designed, built, and sold watches primarily to the rapidly expanding middle classes in the 1960s and 1970s. Their watches had simple lines and a classic style, giving them a timeless elegance. This example is an excellent overall condition. The chrome plated case is in very good condition, showing only minor plating wear on the case edges and lug tips. The bezel and lugs are excellent. The case presents very well from all angles. The Crystal is clear, and free of cracks, chips, deep scratches, and crazing. The original dial is an excellent shape, a silver white sunburst with silver applied numerals and batons. The date window is at 3:00, the date complication works with no issues. This Voumard is powered by the proven, reliable A. Schild cal AS1803. It has 17 jewels, and this manual winding with calendar function. The movement runs well, and keeps excellent time * This Voumard comes on a new gray leather strap and would be a great addition to your 1960s collection. *As with any vintage watch with an unknown service history, a clean/ oil/adjust service by a competent watchmaker is recommended to ensure good performance for years to come.
