I can't read Swedish, but I can tell you that the pictures tell a graphic story about life in the American South during slavery. You see multiple pictures of Uncle Tom on his knees begging forgiveness from his master, a young teenage Black girl being torn away from her family and being put up for sale at public auction, etc., etc.. This copy is lacking its frontispiece portrait of Ms. Stowe, as well as the front flyleaf, but is otherwise one hundred percent complete, with some soiling and spotting on the pages of the book.
