Description: Vintage Suitcase HARTMANN SKY-ROBE 21" x 16" x 7"Wooden. Covered in simulated alligator texture material. Leather handle. Brass latches WITH TWO KEYS. Latches and keys work. Metal feet. Various interior fittings to hold garments in place. Some scratches and wear. See photos. Gold "MSH" initials (my grandmother), who bought this new. Unknown age. Possibly mid- to late-1940s. The SKY-ROBE name may have referred to the start of commercial airline travel. Some scratches and blemishes. Most could be touched up. Inside appears to be in good shape for a vintage piece. There are some water marks inside, especially on the rear at the hinge and in the rear right bottom corner (with the case open and looking in from the latch side). .
