Description: Offered is a very scarce Hartwig of Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, Curta II calculator holder or Curta can as it was called. This is the only one l personally have seen for sale in over thirty years. This will fit a later production Curta ll calculator base, as very early Curta II calculators had a smaller base. Once the Curta II is set inside the can- it is screwed into its secure place in the holder. These were used to mount a Curta ll on a lapboard for access by the rally team or to secure the Curta Calculator to the top of the dash. The Hartwig foil label is in poor condition but can be reproduced. NOTE: the rally navigator lapboard is NOT FOR SALE nor included in this auction.
