Description: This is a s Set of 4 MAQUETTES to the HAUNTED MANSION DISNEYLAND Singing Statues from IMAGINEERING as designed for the Magic Kingdom EACH ONE is about 2 1/2 inches tall MADE OF PAINTED RESIN with a Black FELT BACKING THESE WERE MADE BY a Senior IMAGINEERING MODEL MAKER in the early 1980s FROM THE ORIGINAL ONES USED IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM MODEL at IMAGINEERING When I found the originals in an odd Burbank location with an even stranger explination and I showed them to Marc Davis who identified these from the MAGIC KINGDOM IMAGINEERING MODEL The Singing Busts are a group of undead characters who appear in every version of the attraction except for Mystic Manor and whom act as the lead singers of Grim Grinning Ghosts in the Graveyard. In every direct version of the Haunted Mansion, the five busts appear in the graveyard sequence singing Grim Grinning Ghosts. Maquette came to English directly from French, first appearing in our language in the late 19th century.
