Willrich WWII German propoganda picture postcard featuring Hauptmann (Captain) Witzig.Witzig was a known German officer during WWII due to his successful and daring raid on the Belian Fort Eben-Emael which he took by a glider borne assault and held until German infantry arrived. For his bravery, leadership, and success at Eben-Emael he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Witzig was a German Fallschrimjäger (paratrooper) officer.This item is an original item from the WWII era. It is old and has wear/damage which we will not go into since a photo of the front and back has been provided.
