Description: Havana, Cuba to USA Cover 2 centavo cancelled 1937 w slogan cancellation I am going through some of my late grandfather's possessions, and he has some interesting postage stamps and envelopes. Grandpa lived in Ft. Madison, Iowa, where Sheaffer Pen Company was and still is headquartered. At the time, fine pens like theirs were often sold in jewelry stores, so Grandpa has envelopes from lots of jewelers, bookstores and stationers around the world that must have once held payments or orders. This posted envelope was slit at the top and right edge with a letter opener to remove contents. Envelope is hand addressed in ink from I.E. Casanova, Habana, Cuba to the W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison, Iowa. 2 centavo stamp is clear and in nice condition. Normal handling wear. Postmarked 8 April 1937. There is a slogan cancelation in Spanish and English saying, "The only genuine Havana cigars are those made in Cuba." I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
