Description: Haviland & Co Limoges D H Holmes Pink Lily 12 3/4 Inch Charger C1889-1931 Rare large porcelain charger with a border of Art Nouveau style beautifully hand painted pink flowers, possibly irises or lilies. Has two marks on the reverse. One is a Haviland France mark that dates 1889 - 1931. The other is a Haviland & Co Limoges Made For D. H. Holmes Co. LTD., New Orleans LA. D. H. Holmes was a department store that opened in New Orleans in 1842. It closed it's doors in 1989. Has some wear to the gilding and a chip to the edge, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 12 3/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. LW
