Description: Hawkes Brilliant Cut Crystal 7330 Cornwall Rare 2 Pc 5 3/8" Wine Glasses 1920- Click images to enlarge Description Set Of Two Hawkes Signed Brilliant Cut Crystal #7330 Cornwall Pattern Round Base 4 Ounce Rare Vintage 5 3/8" Wine Glasses 1920-1950s These are in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Fleabites NOTE: some of the glasses have hard to see Hawkes etched marks. Very Nice Hawkes Cut Crystal Wine Glasses. These feature the "Cornwall" pattern that has vertical cut leaf shapes on the bowl with a criss cross cut band. They have a round wafer stem and footing with leaf cuts. These hold about 4 fluid ounces. Some of the best cut crystal glasses in the World are attributed to Hawkes. These are all cut finished and polished by hand. Each glass has a nice long ringtone when tapped. You can feel the weight and quality of the glass when holding it. These have been very well taken care of perhaps under glass or in a cabinet protected for a long period of time. COMPANY INFORMATION Hawkes is a world-renown name in fine cut crystal. The original T.G. Hawkes & Co. was founded in 1880 by Thomas Gibbons Hawkes. Before the decade was over, Hawkes would take Europe by storm as the first American cutting shop to win the coveted Grand Prize at the Paris Exposition in 1889.
