Description: HAWKMAN #5Featuring a cover story entitled . . ."Steal, Shadow - - Steal!" A December 1964 / January 1965 issue GRADED 9.0 by CGC (with RARE WHITE pages)!! As of 7/30/24, this is one of only 180 unrestored copies of HAWKMAN #5 that have EVER been graded by CGC. And - there's only 36 copies that CGC has ever graded higher (PLUS - at 60 years old - not many will have WHITE pages like this copy does!!) Story by GARDNER FOX; with Art and Cover by MURPHY ANDERSON!! See below for complete information on the condition of this beautifully-preserved classic issue Long term storage in a Mylar bag with an acid-free boarduntil submission to CGC in June of 2024!!This issue was bagged and boarded since purchase and (since 1990, when I learned about the superior results attainable with archival storage products and moved my entire collection into those products) it was preserved in a thick archival Mylar bag with a heavy-weight acid-free board, and stored in my smoke-free, pet-free, climate-controlled home. It was removed from its Mylar bag for the first time to be graded by CGC!! I submitted it to CGC to be graded and encased and it was returned, with a 9.0 Grade in July of 2024. This copy, both before and after processing by CGC, NEVER has spent a single day in an attic, basement or storage unit, (and it NEVER will as long as I own it!).Thanks to careful handling, and long-term storage in Mylar, and despite turning SIXTY years old in 2025, this issue STILL looks GREAT, especially in its brand new CGC holder with that 9.0 grade on a Universal Label showing that this copy still has WHITE pages!!
