This lounge styled pop 45 release on the Norman Petty label is best known for the inclusion of Buddy Holly on guitar. Buddy was on the original recording of "If I Had Known" by Clovis' Lloyd Call. Norman Petty, however, didn't care for Lloyd's vocals and instead gave the song to Homer Tankersley aka Ken James for a release on the Nor-Va-Jak label - but using the same backing track. A must for any Holly completist. Take a listen. OK, so it doesn't rock and is pretty standard pop - but, for a Holly collector it is a necessity.
