This was created in 2020 by members and friends of the Mount Joy United Methodist Church, located in "the Pennsylvania Wilds" to celebrate it's 150 year anniversary. The book includes the history of the church. Methodism in this area started in a school house in 1860, with the first church being a simple wooden structure in 1870 that burnt down in 1956, and was soon rebuilt. The Hammond organ was the only thing spared and it served the new church until 1990. It continues to be a financial struggle, as with most small rural churches.
