Description: Heavy Antique Coin 800 Silver Serving Ladle Italy Renaissance Style Marked “PD800”This style of mark was in use in Italy from 1872 until 1933. The PD can either be a maker’s mark or, more likely, a city mark for Padova Italy.The 800 is the fineness mark for “Coin Silver” (i.e. - Silver purity used for Silver coins because it was sturdier than 925 or Sterling Silver, and stood up to wear better.) Deeply detailed handle decor in a Renaissance style. About 7 inches long, with the bowl measuring about 2 ⅜ inches in diameter. Approximately 2.6 ounces Condition: Good. No damage. It has normal wear for its age.
