Description: Hekate (Hecate) is the Ancient Greek Goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, the underworld and crossroads. She was the only child of the Titanes Perses and Asteria from whom she received her power over heaven, earth, and sea. Although most commonly associated with Ancient Greece, it is likely she pre-dates the rise of Greek civilization, as there is considerable evidence that she was honored by the Minoans as early as 2700 BCE. Exquisitely sculpted, with painstaking attention to detail, by the hugely talented Joe Laudati, she is depicted holding a flaming torch in her left hand with a snake coiled around her arm. In her right hand is a bunch of keys and three dog's heads are at her feet. Finished in antiqued black, as is befitting an underworld goddess, and standing around 11" tall, each statue is individually hand-cast, finished, signed, and numbered by the artist himself. Optional Full Color Painting For truly stunning realism, this statue is optionally available hand painted in full color by the artist, Joe Laudati. Please note, full color statues are made to order. Because of the large amount of intricate work required, your order will ship in 8 to 10 business days. Listing and template services provided by inkFrog
