Description: CONDITION: There is slight wear to gilding on saucer rim. This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in Hungary by Herend in 1897. The saucer has a diameter of 5 5/8 inches. The cup is 2 3/4 inches high with a diameter of 2 7/8 inches. Both pieces have molded basket weave borders and scalloped rims. It is hand decorated with vibrantly colored floral sprays of garden variety flowers in Meissen style. Herend was nick named “the Meissen of the Balkans”. The decoration is accented with adorable little bugs and butterflies. You even find them inside the cup.
