Located in the ancient city of the same name, the factory has been producing exquisite and highly coveted luxury china since 1826. Design: The set is in the beautiful pattern called Queen Victoria, one of the company's most famous and popular designs. It has been produced in various forms since it was presented to Queen Victoria at the London World Exhibition of 1851. It is still in production. Elegant, finely detailed and utterly gorgeous, with superbly hand painted and vividly colored flowers, leaves and butterflies, the green trimmed cup and saucer would make a powerful statement of good taste on any table. Note on design variations: Cups and saucers in this pattern are hand painted and each design is a bit different. Three sets are available and the design will differ slightly on each piece. Marks: The modern blue Herend back stamp and the shape number 1726 are on the back of both pieces along with the designation VBO, an abbreviation of the pattern name in French: Victoria avec Bord en Or (Victoria with gold border). Size: The saucer is 5 3/8 inches wide and 1 inch tall. The cup is 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches tall. The set weighs 8 ounces. Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, crazing, repairs or wear.
