Description: Calendar Art print rescued from the top of a 1968 Insurance Agency calendar by Brown & Bigelow. Has been rolled for years, so print does not lay completely flat - edges are still slightly turned up. The side edges were trimmed to remove small tears and imperfections. A light brown border area was left around the actual artwork. It's in overall good condition. Has some minor imperfections, including a stain visible in the upper border area, (also visible on back side of print), but should look great when mounted, matted and framed. The overall size is 13 5/8" x 171/8". The actual art print size is 11 3/4" x 16". I've also included the information and small calendar that were printed behind the "months" tear-off pages of the calendar. This paper measures 3 1/2" x 6". The write-up describes the print and gives information on the artist. You can read this by using the eBay "zoom" feature while viewing that photo attached. I'll wrap the print in brown kraft paper and roll inside a small mailing tube. Mailing will be by USPS First Class. I'll mail same day, or next day after PayPal payment is received. Following is some information on this excellent artist: Stanford (Stan) Fenelle (1909 - 1995) Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota Fenelle was interested in art at a young age and a teacher in the eleventh grade encouraged him to pursue his talent. He graduated from high school in 1927 and then worked in a sign-painting shop before becoming involved with the Public Works of Art Project (PWAP) in 1933. The late 1930's were an exciting time for Fenelle, who exhibited his paintings and watercolors across the country. This is when he became involved with printmaking, working with lithographer Al Gaiovnik at the Walker Art Center. Fenelle had his own lithographic press (a proofing press from Jensen Printing) for pulling prints, which he later gave to Jo Lutz Rollins for her Stillwater Art Colony. Fenelle worked for thirty years at Brown & Bigelow in St. Paul, where he became known for his paintings of hunting dogs.
