The original inspiration of the males came about when I saw a picture of Sal Mineo who was in "Rebel Without A Cause". The heavy eyelids sort of came from Peter Lorre and silent movies. In silent movies a lot of times they darkened around the eyes so that they showed more and they give me a chance to incorporate a little more color, which is always dark on the males and eye shadow for the women. This is a pastel pencil drawing on acid free very slightly textured white paper. Piece is penciled in black, peach, crimson lake, white, yellowed orange, olive green, marine green, & mineral orange. This belongs to my Entertainment Series. Anything I consider entertainment. I'm sure the entertainment world has plenty of studs.
