Hot Pink Feather Hair Band Fascinator Swan Lake type Hat

Description: I have always been fascinated by the small chic hats from the 1940’s and 1950’s. I just loved them, so when the Red Hat Ladies craze was popular a few years ago I searched for tiny hats to no avail. I realized if I could not find what I knew I wanted then that was my opportunity to try and make some of the hats I had seen in photos and movies. I’ve never been a fan of sweaty heads under large hats or squashed hairdos and so I became a milliner. I loved designing and making the hats and actually was pretty successful. Most of my hats are small and lightweight and easy to wear. I learned how to make the buckram wire edged frames for the shapes I could not find or afford and learned to work with feathers. This hat is part of my unsold inventory. It is new and never owned. I will be listing several hats in the next month so stay tuned and maybe you will find something you just can’t live without! I did a lot of shows in the St. Louis area and sold a lot of little hats. I am now downsizing and selling my remaining hats and moving on to a new challenge. One of my favorite hats was the Swan Lake feather hair band style and I made several in this style. This hat is built on a 9.50” x 2.5” hair band buckram base with wire edging so it is adjustable to your head. It’s covered in shiny hot pink hackle feathers and fully lined. The feathers overlap the bands base making the hat 12” x 5”. On one end I added a hot pink and fuchsia marabou feather puff and curled pink biot feathers. I also added hairpin loops and a small comb to secure the hat to your head. If you have questions please ask before you bid or buy as all sales are final. I no longer ship using the USPS envelope rate because there is no tracking on those items and I have had incredibly bad luck with items shipped that way taking several weeks to arrive or not arriving at all.
