Description: Windup alligators/crocodile toys have been around a while, but I cannot find any prior sales of one of these. Marked "Made in Germany" this attractive toy has a much higher quality of lithography than the others and is a full 15 inches long! No slits on top to mount a rider unlike some later ones made in the US or Japan. It works very vigorously upon a winding as it scoots across the floor or table opening wide then shutting its mouth over and over. Non-collectors (especially children) like this one for its striking size and extended action.
