Description: Offered is a once in a lifetime chance to buy a collection of WWII Sangamon Ordnance Plant memorabilia. Remington Rand built a Plant in Illinois around Illiopolis. This all came from one man who worked at the Ordnance Plant during the War as a Guard. Please look at all the photos.1st. His Employee Badge with His Photo (pin on back is good)2nd. His Sangamon Ordnance Plant Patch3rd. His Auxiliary Military Police Patch4th. His Leather Police Utility Belt that he carried his firearm on. 9leather is still soft, but there is some cracking)5th. His "E" Pin and the Card with it came on and the see through envelope. All original and named on the card to the Remington Rand Inc. Sangamon Ordnance Plant.6th. A Mailing Tube from the Remington Rand Inc. Sangamon Ordnance Plant Springfield Illinois7th. In the Mailing Tube were 12 Certificates all to this same man stating that he completed different courses for the Sangamon Ordnance Plant with the Auxiliary Military Police Training Course. 1 for "Military Courtesy and Customs", 2 for "Small Arms", 1 for "Pass Procedure", 1 for "Search and Seizure", 1 for "Articles of War", 1 for "Point Control Of Traffic", 3 for "Close Order Drill", and 1 for "Preservation of Evidence". All are dated April through June of 19438th. Is a Letter to this man stating that the Auxiliary Military Police are being disbanded. Dated November 15th 19459th. Lastly in the Mailing Tube is a large 13 3/4" x 11" Certificat to this man for his "Meritorious Service with the Sangamon Ordnance Plant".10th. There is a envelope to this man about a Presentation Ceremony where He will receive His "E" Award, Nice Program Pamphlet. (some water damage to paper) and a Letter explaining the "E" Award Ceremonies..11th. There are 4 "THE VOICE OF SANGAMON" Booklets (sort of like a thin magazine). All measure 11" x 8 1/2", All are different. Dated August 1945 Part Two, May 1945, December 1944 and August 1945 Part One. (All have some water damage).12th. This is the most scarce item. It is a large paper that shows how the whole Remington Rand Inc. Sangamon Ordnance Plant was laid out. Buildings, Fences, Magazines, Gates, Guard Towers, Fuze & Booster Storage , High Explosive Storage, Loading Lines and Fire Stations. Incredible detail. Measures 30" x 60".What a incredible set.
