Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE HUGE ACOMA HAND PAINTED OLLA POT Wonderful, large and dramatic vintage hand painted Native American Indian pottery olla shape vase or pot measuring about 12-1/2" tall, 15" wide and 47" in circumference. Beautifully hand coiled, sun dried and sanded, with applied white slip and hand painted fine black geometric lines, and firing. Dating to the 1970s, it is stylized signed "L. JOE ACOMA N.M." for Loretta Joe. Condition is lovely with a minute pin point size nip on the top edge as shown, several very faint scuffs that do not cut into the surface and cased surface dust on the interior. This is an incredible piece - shown with a small juice can for size comparison - striking addition to any Native American Indian pottery collection or display!
