It is a necklace (chain is silver and has been blackened) featuring a huge black Rutilated Quartz stone which has been placed inside a silver casing. It was made by a jewelry artisan named Diana Vincent from Washington Crossing Pa. even though I am mainly a Native American jewelry person, this piece called out to me. Apparently the stone called to the artisan also, because she told me she had found this stone years ago at the Tucson Gem Show. The size alone is incredible, so even though she mainly works with platinum and diamonds, she decided to work with this stone in silver. It has no markings of any kind and as I bought it directly from the maker, I knew what I was getting. There is a booklet that came with it that shows some of her other work and lists awards she has received. Of course the buyer of this will get that as well. It measures 5.25” tall and 1.75” wide across the widest point. It is also quite heavy, weighing 276.5 grams. It is 17.75” inches long including the pendant. It is open the back and the stone cones to a peak in the middle. Not really able to get a picture of this. Even though I love it,I don’t wear it.
