Description: An antique decorative burgundy binding with blind stamped Japanese lettering. A little bit delicate. Some wear/weakening to the hinge alongside the title page (no loose pages but some play to the hinge and weak rear hinge). Tadyoshi Sakurai was a junior officer in the Japanese campaign against Port Arthur, Russia's ice-free port in China. From the personal library of the late actor Edward Herrmann, known for his roles in "The Gilmore Girls," "The Lost Boys," Max Eastman in "Reds," and as FDR in numerous films including "Annie." Features Herrmann's signature in the front, with a note (possibly given to him by actor Robert Ball).
