These are reproduced 3m matte printed decals 4" diamond shaped with a life expectancy of eight to ten years. This is the same material used for custom printed applications for race cars, trailers and much more. The distance from the antenna varied depending the radio in use. On some of the originals I have seen, there is a white label which would indicate how far you needed to be away from specific radios. . This is something which would have been done in the motor pool or in the field.
