Robinson (born 1937) is a writer and photographer specializing in outdoor journalism and training gun dogs, especially those used in bird hunting. He was the Gundog Editor and a feature writer at SPORTS AFIELD magazine from 1970-90. He has since written articles for both FIELD & STREAM and OUTDOOR LIFE magazines as well as other publications. The book offered here, HUNT CLOSE!, was his first book, published in 1978. He later wrote an additional 5 books. The book is hardcover with gilt lettering on the spine. It has 221 pages with 38 chapters, 76 B&W photos & illustrations, and an index. Robinson signed this copy on the front flyleaf. He did not inscribed this to anyone, so it will make a great gift. I would have graded the book as being in Like New condition, but there is a previous owner's rubber-stamp that reads, "Woodchuck Hollow Farms, Hamden, NY." No other condition issues with the book. The DJ has minor wear along both the top & bottom edges, but there are no long tears or creases. Overall, a great SIGNED copy! It will be carefully packaged to insure safe shipping. Free tracking.
