Description: I spent many years in the elementary classroom, and then decided to go back to college to earn a masters' degree in Library Science. I added this series of books in multiple copies in our grades 4-6 library. We read two of the books in class and the children loved them. They were always in circulation with a waiting list. The books sold for $4.99 each, probably more now, not certain. If you have a child who loves to read, I am sure they will go through these one after the other. They are action-packed, survival stories, main protagonist is a youngster, and the history they will learn along the way will be phenomenal. And if you have a child who struggles and hates to read, here is an excellent opportunity to spend time reading together to foster a love for reading. This would be an excellent birthday or Christmas gift. Can't say enough good about this series. Kid-tested and kid-approved. These books are not restricted to these grade levels, by any means. They are a favorite, too, of many young adults.
