Ilene Meyer Pair of Matching Blank Cards Glasnost (detail) The Queens Cards 1988

Description: This is a pair of blank greeting cards 5"x7" each open to 10"x7" Printed 1988, by The Queen's Cards Inc. Seattle Washington. No envelopes will be included. It depicts in two parts an oil painting by surrealist painter Ilene Meyer. The two cards do not directly go together at the seam but have to be placed overlapping by a few inches to be seen together. Please see pictures for reference. I found the cards wrapped in plastic and protected from the elements. Un-used. Small waves in the card stock and corner blunting may possibly be found. This is the definition of "Glasnost" when I looked it up for help/reference with interpretation. noun: glasnost(in the former Soviet Union) the policy or practice of more open consultative government and wider dissemination of information, initiated by leader Mikhail Gorbachev from 1985. All cards I am selling are considered New Old Stock and have been stored in stacks unless specifically mentioned. Vintage postcards and greeting cards may have small differences I.E; yellowing of paper, worn edges, corner blunting. Basic wear from storage of vintage cards.
