Description: Early Prussian/German Model 1889 Cavalry Officers Sword Fullered blade measures 33.25" with an OAL of 38". Blade is in uncleaned condition, smooth surface showing scattered rust, dirt, with etched design on both sides of the blade for 15" from ricasso. Sharp Carl Eickhorn logo (back to back squirrels) and "C.E." on the ricasso area. This was Eickhorn's first Trademark used from 1906-1920's. Still has the scabbard pad on the blade with a tight basket that has no looseness. Guard shows the Prussian Eagle in a circle, shark skin grip in very good condition showing light wear, no wire. The basket also has a smooth surface with dirt, scattered light rust. No scabbard. See photos for further details.
