Description: Imperial Loganberry Decanter in the Vigna Vetro Frit treatment - NO stopper - This pattern was hard to make and produced for only one year, in 1959, making this a unique and truly rare piece. As I write this, I have not found any decanters in this pattern for sale, and very few that have sold in the past. - Difficult making process included rolling milk glass, while still soft, across a table of multi-colored glass chips, or frit. The frit that remained close to the surface would pop and leave little explosions, resulting in interesting textures and patterns in the glass ... mostly smooth to the touch, but a few very light rough spots here and there. - Frit is blue, green, and yellow (this decanter also has a few dark spots here and there). - Original Imperial label is present - Found at an estate sale, and unfortunately, the stopper was not present. Regardless, still a unique and rare conversation piece! - Wonderful MCM decor to add to your home, or gift for anyone who loves midcentury modern vintage!
