Its dual FOV capabilities can be attributed to an industry first dual field-of-view 25mm/50mm objective lens. This allows the operator to seamlessly shift between a wide 17.5° x 13.1° FOV and a narrow 8.8° x 6.6° FOV by twisting the objective lens focus ring. The dual FOV function allows the operator to use the wide FOV to scan for targets and the narrow FOV to identify targets. Shifting to the narrow FOV increases the optical magnification by 2x, while also maintaining 100% of the sensors native resolution. In terms of image quality, the RICO PRO 640 Variable Thermal Weapon Sight features IRays MATRIX III Advanced Image Processing a proprietary image correction and scene optimization function as well as a InfiRay Micro II 640 Core with 640 x 512 resolution. Together, these features allows the RICO PRO 640 Variable Thermal Weapon Sight to pick up on heat signatures from 2400 yards away.
