INFRARED FILTER 950nm Massively Increases the Performance of NVD's

Description: Infrared Filter (950nm)Spotlight Filter Infrared Lens for use with night vision equipment such as image intensifiers, some CCTV and cameras etc, when fitted to a suitable lamp or when the filter is removed from the rubber mask it can be used to replace the standard clear lens on a suitable lamp such as the one we use in the final images which costs around $15 in the US or €14/€20 in Europe.This is a high quality, semi-covert infrared filter that operates at approximately 950nm. Since night vision scopes are sensitive in the near infrared spectrum (700-1000nm), the use of this filter in front of a white light source will greatly enhance scope performance in very low light/total darkness. These filters were manufactured for a police force and we bought them at a military and law enforcement clearance sale we visited a number of camping and outdoor stores to determine how easily it would be possible to find a suitable lamp. It seems they are a relatively standard size because we came across two where they would fit perfectly. The dimensions are shown in the images. we experimented with one of these filters fitted to a lamp and used to test the performance with our Baigish 6 night vision scope and discovered it gave an absolutely incredible increase in performance extending the range by five or six times but also enabling it to be used under trees or inside of buildings where there is no ambient light sources so this filter will clearly massively increase the usability of any night vision system.Given the peak output range of the filter - which is optimised to Gen 1, Gen Super/CF-Super and Gen 2 series night vision scopes - there will be a small amount of visible red glow from any light source to which it is attached.
