As any fan knows, Iron Maiden’s albums are steeped in Lovecraftian horror. I mean, the “Even death may die” quote by H. P. Lovecraft is inscribed on Eddie’s gravestone! So, we knew we just had to make our Iron Maiden packs compatible with Cthulhu: Death May Die! Zombicide: Black Plague/Green Horde is one of the games to be graced by Eddie’s fearsome presence. Iron Maiden often ventures into fantasy, so we knew we just had to make our Iron Maiden packs compatible with Zombicide: Black Plague/Green Horde. Most characters brought into the fantasy Zombicide setting can be played as either Survivors or Abominations/Necromancers (except for Wicker and Fear Eddie who are Abominations only). To help bring their unique flavor to the game, each Survivor has a unique Blue-level skill named after a fitting Iron Maiden song. Shaman Eddie draws blood from his teammates to push the offensive, Samurai Eddie fires magic blasts from his katana (included as a new Equipment), Pharaoh Eddie commands the zombie hordes, Reaper Eddie (bringing his scythe as a new Equipment) is a Necromancer able to kill Survivors on sight, and Mummy Eddie places a Sarcophagus card on the board which allows him to rise again when eliminated. As Abominations-only, Wicker Eddie is a towering force that must be brought down with lots of Dragon Fire and Fear Eddie will make Survivors afraid to walk alone. Finally, we included the Beast’s Head as a Vault Weapon able to eliminate hordes of zombies whenever your attacks manage to accumulate three very special rolls: 6 – 6 – 6. Ankh: Gods of Egypt is one of the games to be graced by Eddie’s fearsome presence. Iron Maiden’s 5th studio album, Powerslave, was a substantial influence on Ankh, from the monumental cover art to the premise expressed by “I’m a God, why can’t I live on?” so we knew we just had to make our Iron Maiden packs compatible with Ankh: Gods of Egypt! Mummy Eddie is an extra Guardian (similar to how Petsuchos can be added to any game) with Strength 2. Whenever a player manages to kill him, they gain control of Mummy Eddie and immediately re-summon him. Pharaoh Eddie, naturally, is used in conjunction with the Pharaoh expansion, substituting the regular Pharaoh figure. Eddie’s reign adds extra unique effects to all Battle cards played in his region, altering the game significantly!
