Until now I've never used the term "unobtanium", however this one checks both of those boxes This gorgeous investment grade Piece of Mind Artist Proof, hand painted resin figure and diorama is simply spectacular. This is Artist Proof No. 62 of 100. The hand written 62 on the COA of course corresponds to the hand written 62 on the base of the sculpture. The COA is hand signed/autographed by all 6 members of Iron Maiden: Steve HarrisBruce DickinsonAdrian SmithDave MurrayNicko McBrainJanick Gers The padded cell walls each measure 12" x 12". Eddie measures 16" from head to toe. Due to his hunched over position in the padded cell, the distance from the floor to the top of his head measures 8 1/2".Here are more detailed measurements:Foot to knee - 4"Knee to hip - 41/2 'Hip to shoulder - 4 1/2"Neck and head - 3" Weight of assembled diorama & Eddie - 18 1/2" lbs. / 8.4 kg. I've tried to capture all or most of the elements of this Piece of Mind, "Piece of Art" in the photos. But here is some technical information. Some of the photos in the gallery show these features. For instance Eddie is held upright by the pins molded into his feet that correspond perfectly with 2 holes on the floor of his padded cell. Regarding his collar and the 3 chains, they each have a strong magnetic link on their ends which are held in place by magnets embedded in the floor and both walls of the padded cell. The padded cell itself is assembled using 3 screws. 2 screws are used to attach the bottom of each wall to the floor while the 3rd screw is used to secure the 2 walls to each other. It's a very sturdy assembly. The detail and quality of the figure are exquisite as the close up photos attest to. The paintwork is flawless and there are no nicks, dings etc anywhere on Eddie or the diorama. Since each unit was hand painted, no 2 are alike. Not only are you buying one of the rarest and most important pieces of Iron Maiden memorabilia. Yours is a one of a kind!
