The late Isabel Bloom, from Davenport, Iowa, spent a lifetime working with materials and techniques that resulted in a business that manufactures and has sold thousands of reproductions of her sculptures each year. She sold her company in 1981 to three women who worked for her. She was much beloved in Davenport and also hosted a TV program for children. Since 2006 - 2010, a small chinese factory produced a limited number of Isabel Bloom's designs employing skilled artisans to finish the pieces. The people of Davenport were not happy campers when her company decided to leave. But they are back now producing Isabel Bloom's designs and creating new designs in Davenport - 736 Federal St. It is becoming a tourist attraction. This piece was manufactured between 2006 and 2010 in China. The number of this item is 700629 and is in its original box.
