They will not show wear or signs of use but they have been stored for years and shipped around the world so they will show signs of storage and may have that military surplus smell. I'm not positive about the exact age of these but I do believe that they are from the World War II Era. I actually don't believe that these were ever issued. They don't look new due to being approximately 75-80 years old. They show some storage wear and scuffs but not usage wear. To be sure I'll just call them excellent used condition. The belts are definitely unissued old stock and have been sitting inside the pouches for years. Some still in the original wrapper. Definitely a rare and pleasant find. The Carabinieri are the Italian Military Police and part of the Army until the year 2000. The serve the country along side of the Polizia. The pouch is sturdy black leather with leather closure flap and side attachment for the included belt. Brass pins and belt loops. Brass will show some verdigris due to age. Two of the pouches have the tin plate inside and I will ship those two out first unless otherwise notified. The rest of the pouches are solid leather with no insert. They are not missing but some were designed with the insert and some were not. Handsome Italian national emblem in brass on the front. 6 x 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size, from the era of the Carcano rifles a standard box of Carcano ammunition can be placed inside. Will also hold a couple of modern 20 round magazines. I apologize for the high cost of these pouches but they are nearly impossible to find nowadays and pretty much are impossible to find with the matching belts. I had to pay a premium for them but I couldn't pass the rare chance to get some in this nice of condition and with the unissued belts.
