Description: IV106 Vintage Stanley No 13 Compass Circular Plane Type 2?. Early type compass plane. Missing a good bit of the finish. Has some pitting, worst on the chip breaker. Cutter and chip breaker both marked L. Bailey Dec. 24, 1867. Solid brass adjustment knob has right hand threads and is marked Bailey's patent Aug. 31, 1858, Aug 6, 1867. The knob runs well. The base plate is attached with screws near center as early models were. Rear eye screw has been replaced with brass screw, in order to hold when compressed I had to use pliers on the bolt. File marks on body near top of frog. Solid lever cap has some small nicks on corners. Light rust, scratches, dings and wear normal for age. Cutter will likely need sharpened. WE SHIP TO THE USA ONLY.
