Description: J.L. Chaffee large clip point Bowie knife in original sheath. Like new original condition. Blade appears to have never been sharpened nor used and retains the factory edge. Blade alone is 9" long with an overall length of 14.25". I have not been able to find another example of this knife made by him on the internet. The handle appears to be rosewood or cocobolo, something along those lines of exotic wood. Handle is perfect with no cracks or chips.
