Description: A vintage print from the 1950's in the original frame, never removed. Subject is titled Woman with a Monkey by Marie Laurencin, born Paris 1883, died Paris 1956. She was an important figure in the Parisian avant-garde and made important contributions to 20th Century art. Her contemporary Jacques Villon was the eldest brother of Marcel Duchamp and a painter, engraver, illustrator and sculptor. He made an engraving of Woman with Monkey and copies were printed on vellum and then tinted with color. The original is in the Louvre.
