Nothing shows up at night like these blooms.It is very hardy and will grow in the shade, partial shade on well drained soil. It is very good in Mass planting or in back borders. This plant will spread thru root system. The established plant will seed it self if the stock is not cut during fall. After blooms drops the petal I leave the stocks with seed pod for birds for winter. Early spring I remove the stocks with dead leaves and even if you did not the plants big leaves grows around and uses the dead leaves as mulch. Once established It is an excellent low-maintenance plant.
