Kokeshi dolls are a popular style of Japanese folk art originating in the northern part of the main island of Honshu. Kokeshi have been hand-crafted by artisans for more than 150 years. They were very popular gifts and toys during the Showa era (1926-1989) in Japan. It comes in a rectangular 8" x 6" photo picture frame of durable, black plastic and an easel-back for displaying on a shelf or table top. The frame has a glass face that will protect prints from wear and damage.The frame also comes sealed in packaging with an included information card about our art processes.
