Description: Up for Auction, for my Personal Collection, is a 1935 Japanese WWII Medal Dedicated to Manchukuo EmperorImperial Pu-Yis Visit to Japan. The Medal was to commemorate Manchukuo Emperor Pu-Yi's visit to Japan, by Prince Chichibu, in 1934 to congratulate Emperor Pu Yis ascension to the throne. In return Pu Yi visited Japan in 1935. A battlecruiser, the Hiei Maru and other warships were sent over to take him to Japan and Emperor Hirohito personally went to the station to welcome the new puppet ruler. The medal was awarded to those invited to the official welcome and banquet ceremonies and those who helped in organization. It is made of PURE SILVER. The Medal also comes with the Factory Certificate. The PURE SILVER medal is in the shape of a spearhead. OBVERSE: Decorated with orchids and chrysanthemums, the Imperial flowers of Manchukuo and Japan, respectively. REVERSE: Inscribed 'Kang Teh 2 [1934] Manchukuo Empire, Emperor's Visit to Japan Commemorative Medal.' The chrysanthemums and orchids are tied together with a ribbon bearing an inscription meaning 'One Virtue, One Heart.' Red Ribbon on case states ‘Made at the Great Imperial Japan Mint.' The Factory Authentication Certificate matches the box cover and the back of the medal left side. The case is in perfect condition.
